This Hawaii-based cosmetic surgeon attended Harvard Medical School, received general surgery training at the University of Hawaii, and plastic surgery training at the Texas Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Peterson has completed advanced specialty training in Japan and China. He has been Chief of Plastic Surgery at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children for the past 10 years.

Dr. Peterson Returns from the World Congress

Dr. Peterson was honored to be invited to present five talks on cosmetic surgery to The 50th World Congress of the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. The titles of his presentations: "Reduction of Peri-operative Pain," "New Technique for Nasal Tip Refinement," "Upper Face Rejuvenation," "Painless Abdominoplasty," and "My Experience with Serdev Scarless Brow Lift." You may be particularly interested in "Painless Abdominoplasty". Having a tummy tuck used to be a very painful procedure that required general anesthesia and overnight stays in the hospital. Dr. Peterson presented his new technique that allows the patient to go home the same day, and prevents the need for general anesthesia, even with significant tightening of the stomach muscle. Most patients take only one or two pain pills over the first day post op, and some take only Tylenol!
